Outpost al-Razi

Outpost al-Razi is a Star Fleet Medical outpost in orbit of planet Varuna III. The station serves the sector as an orbital hospital, aiding the star system's sizeable population of ore mining personnel. A small fleet of orbital shuttles is stationed at the outpost and are used as rapid-response shuttles for situations where direct transporter conveyance of patients is inadvisable. The system's large deposits of diveritribium, useful for the production of warp plasma conduit linings, has a tendency to wreak havoc on transporters, giving the system an added measure of isolation despite its vital importance to Federation industrial efforts.
