BL37 Peerless - The Aerodex

The Aerodex is the world we glimpse in the vibrant backdrops of vintage tourism posters, the weathered stickers adorning well-traveled luggage, and the bold covers of action-packed pulp magazines!

The Bonner-Lance BL-37 Peerless is a small, tandem-wing patrol wingcraft designed primarily for deployment from the belly hangars of airships, making it popular with home defense squadrons and pirate gangs alike. The plane's unusual offset wing root gives it a distinctive appearance, as do the wingtip rudders. While the Peerless is fitted with retractable landing gear, its use among airship-based squadrons means that a retractable skyhook is frequently used for "landings." It deploys vertically from a location immediately behind the pilot, between two false cockpit windows, and captures onto a trapeze lowered from a waiting airship above.
